At the end of the street...

Leaves on the wall at the end of the street...it always suprises me that colors are most vivid on cloudy days.

Patterns in the Water

More so lately, I seem to be drawn to the abstract. Water, for me, has always been attractive -you can see it as a theme in a lot of my work.

It seems strange to me that you would find this in a Leo... perhaps horoscopes are not always accurate.

Lake Bass

I did catch at least one fish while away.

Wallenpaupack

Here is a view of the dock from the cabin at Lake Wallenpaupack. It is used for fishing, sunbathing, reading spot, launch point for various boats and other floatables. There is always a lot of discussion each year about re-painting or not. You can see what we decided this year ;-)

Wall Pattern

This is a view of the sunrise, first thing in the morning, taken during Memorial Day weekend. I was camping, and when I woke up, this is the first thing I saw. Not a bad way to start the day...

Adam's Falls

A slightly enhanced image of the pool near Adam's Falls near Linn Run State Park. This is where the adventurous can slide along the slippery bottom, provided you can stand the cold mountain water. I thought the view of the river rock below the rippling surface made for an interesting canvas and took several shots of the patterns in the water.

Outside Art

Some put their art on the outside of the house. This is an old snap from a short notice trip to Aruba some time ago, taken during a walkabout in Oranjestad. It makes me wonder what is on the inside, who lives there, and what I should paint on the outside of my house...

Fish in My Window

It has been raining so much here lately, I think that I see fish in my window.

Morning Mist

More morning mist (alliterative indulgence). This reminds me of the work another photographer that has some work that I admire. Kind of a sad peaceful view. I have this one set as the desktop backround on my computer.

Fog

From an early walk in the mist this morning. Sometimes the pictures one takes are appropriate to one's mental state at the time ;-)

Alignment

This is a photograph of the crescent moon, Venus, and Jupiter from around November 2004. It was taken hand held from the attic window with my old PowerShot G2. I am sure there must be some profound astrological significance, but since I do not place much stock in these things, I don't have a clue what it is.

The first thing I ever wanted to be was an astronomer.

Winter Road

This is an older photograph of the road in the cemetary, near the end of the block. It was most likely taken in March, with weather much like today. It is a good place for long walks, uphill sprints, and when the snow is just right, sledding downhill.

Trees

A small reminder that before we know it, winter will be gone, and the trees will be green.

Ice

This is one of the first shots taken with my new Nikon D80. This is what you get when you forget to turn off the water to the outside faucets. We came home to a skating rink in the back yard, and bushes near the walkway coated with ice.

More Jellyfish

To be a jellyfish seems to be a peaceful existance.
